Ingredients

Olive oil

Onion, chopped

Garlic cloves, 1 crushed and 2 thinly sliced

1 tbsp

Heinz Double Concentrated Tomato Puree

2 x 400 g

Heinz Chopped Tomatoes

Sprigs fresh basil, roughly chopped

Mezzi rigatoni

Small fresh basil leaves to garnish

Instructions

Step 1

Fry onions in 2 tbsp olive oil until soft. Add crushed garlic, stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add tomato puree, cook for 1 minute, stirring.

Step 2

Add tinned tomatoes, chopped basil, seasoning. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 3

Cook pasta according to packet instructions, drain, toss with 1 tbsp olive oil.

Step 4

Fry sliced garlic in remaining oil until golden. Add chopped tomatoes, cook for 30 seconds. Season.

Step 5

Spoon tomato sauce into a bowl, top with pasta, fresh tomato, garlic. Garnish with basil leaves.
