apples, peeled, and diced
1/4 cup
water
1/4 cup
granulated sugar
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
2 tsp
cornstarch + ¼ cup water

SUGAR MIXTURE
1 cup
granulated sugar
1 tbsp
cinnamon
Instructions
Step 1
Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Set aside.
Step 2
In a saucepan add the water, apples, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook 10 minutes or until apples are tender and soft. Add the cornstarch and water and cook until it thickens. Set aside to cool.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 400º F.
Step 4
Make the biscuits by combining the dry goods into a bowl, add small cubes of cold butter and use fingers or pastry cutter to mix into dry mix. You should end up with small pea size pieces of cold butter.
Step 5
Combine the lemon juice and milk together. Then pour into the mixture. Stir just until it comes together. There will be loose flour. Try to use a spoon and avoid using your hands so the butter stays cold.
Step 6
Once it starts sticking together in more of a ball shape, put it onto a workable surface and form into a round disc about 1/2" thick.
Step 7
Using about ½-¾ cup of the mix, roll out into a small flat circle on a floured surface. Place 2 tablespoons of mix in the center and pull edges together and seal. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Step 8
Remover from oven and brush with NotMilk™ and roll in cinnamon sugar. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
