Instructions

  1. Step 1

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and add the sliced onions, cook on a low heat for 20 mins until starting to caramelise, squeeze in the mustard, add the maple syrup and cook for a further 5 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  2. Step 2

While the onions cook, brown the mince in a separate frying pan over a high heat for 5-10 minutes, until browned all over and starting to turn crisp.

  3. Step 3

Add half the caramelised onion, garlic and paprika allow to cook for a further 2 minutes.

  4. Step 4

Stir through the tin of tomatoes and 2 tbsp of Burger Sauce and bring to a simmer. Season with salt and pepper. Place a lid on and cook for 15 – 20 minutes - the sauce should have reduced and thickened.

  5. Step 5

Cook the pasta as per the packet instructions, drain and transfer to an oven proof dish, pour over the meat sauce and stir to combine everything.

  6. Step 6

Preheat your grill to high, top the dish with the cheese, chopped green peppers and tomatoes.

  7. Step 7

Bake the dish under the grill for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
