  2001 Second Quarter
It Pays To Be First in 2001

What better time to declare a fresh beginning than at the start of a new year. Heinz Nature's Goodness kicked off 2001 with a fresh beginning that was a family pleaser.

The first child born on Jan. 1, 2001 at each Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospital across the nation received a $100 U.S. Savings Bond from Heinz Nature's Goodness and a Heinz Nature's Goodness gift basket. The H.J. Heinz Company Foundation and Heinz Nature's Goodness each made a $100 matching contribution to CMN in honor of each first baby.

The "fresh beginning" didn't end there. On Jan. 1, Heinz celebrated the New Year by unveiling its fifth Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade float. The float, titled "Fresh Beginnings," was a whimsical floral masterpiece celebrating Heinz Nature's Goodness baby food by depicting a family and child surrounded by the best that nature has to offer.
