Heinz Infant Nutrition Institute (HINI)
Heinz established the Heinz Infant Nutrition Institute (HINI) to promote the
knowledge and advance the practice of infant nutrition. A scientific advising
council, consisting of top Canadian and American pediatricians and
nutritionists, guides this endeavor. As a service to nutritionists, health
professionals and educators specializing in the field of infant nutrition, the
Heinz Infant Nutrition Institute publishes a quarterly called In-Touch. In
addition to providing factual information on new developments in the infant
nutrition field, In-Touch articles are reviewed by an advisory board consisting
of leading Canadian and American nutritionists and pediatricians.

IFIC bridges the gap between science and communications by collecting and
disseminating scientific information on food safety, nutrition and health. By

National Food Processors Association (NFPA)
Considered the principal scientific and trade association for the food
industry, the National Food Processors Association (NFPA) helps keep Heinz (a
longtime NFPA member) abreast of relevant scientific and public policies. The
NFPA covers issues involving food safety, nutrition, technical and regulatory
matters as well as consumer affairs.
