A Diverse Workforce In addition to hiring people of different ethnic backgrounds, Heinz is committed to providing career development programs and subsidizing educational expenses, including tuition reimbursement. In the United States, Heinz has a women’s mentoring group called the Global Organization for the Advancement of Leadership for Women. The group works to attract, develop, retain, and advance women in management. Globally, 38% of the Heinz workforce is comprised of women and 29% of management positions are held by women. Also, 30% of Heinz employees hold salaried positions; the remaining 70% of employees are paid hourly.
