Nutrition in the Early Years

Good nutrition is essential to healthy child development. Heinz has been a pioneer in infant and children’s nutrition since the 1920s. Today, the Heinz Infant Feeding Center of Excellence in Italy is researching infant nutrition and digestion and the importance of micronutrients so we can develop the most beneficial foods for infants and children.

Our most well-known product in Italy is Plasmon^®, which has become synonymous for “healthy baby.” Food from Plasmon’s newest line, Oasis™, is made with 100% fruit juice, select lean meats and no preservatives. To ensure its products use the purest ingredients, the Plasmon^® business monitors how all materials are produced, from the farm to packaging and shipping.
